If you haven't seen my astrophotogrpahy website, you should. Here is my most recent example of what I enjoy doing. This is M 3 or NGC 5272, a ball of half a million stars older than the Sun lies over 30,000 light-years away in our Milky Way Galaxy.April 13 & 16, 2010. This image, like all those on Lalunasky.com are very difficult to capture. You can see all my equipment and how I do it on the site.
